Cocks are also called plugs. Commonly known as cock. It is one of the dynamic valves in Dalian marine valves.

According to the structure, it can be divided into two-way, three-way and four-way cocks. The advantages are: (1) simple structure and quick opening and closing; (2) When fully open, the resistance to the fluid is small, and it is suitable for the fluid with solid particles; (3) When coated with corrosion-resistant materials, it can be used for corrosive fluids. The disadvantages are: (1) the flow cannot be precisely adjusted; (2) It is difficult to rotate. For the pipeline with large diameter, high pressure or high temperature, the ball valve (or ball center plug) with plug can be used.

Materials and application conditions

The cock can be made of cast iron, high silicon iron, ceramic, brass, plastic, etc. It is generally high and can be used for occasions with gauge pressure of 1.01 MPa (10 atmospheric pressure) and temperature of 120 ℃.
